Guatemala Huehuetenango: La Alma
Cultivated in the Huehuetenango highlands by three generations of coffee growers, La alma, meaning "the soul," is a washed coffee created to bring warmth and vitality to your morning.
Onyx Coffee donates .05 cents from every pound of La Alma coffee sold directly to Habitat for Humanity Guatemala's Smokeless Stove Program. This program supports Avid Coffee's global community initiatives. By providing cleaner indoor air quality and improving wood fueled efficiency, the clean stoves supplied by this program positively impact families for many years. Proceeds from La Alma sales provided 42 families with new clean stoves in 2021.
This coffee delights with a sweet, round aroma of brown sugar and red fruits. The cup reveals flavors of chocolate brownie, strawberry, and orange, evolving into notes of toffee and brownie as it cools, with a lingering coffee finish.
